All the difficult parts on the path are there to build our love, compassion, patience, courage, strength and more – how else would we know that we have these within us? We didn’t just didn’t bounce out of the womb with these did we?
In turns out that we are all on a hero’s journey and YOU ARE THE HERO. You just might not realise yet, and you may not be too happy at the thought of it either. Alas, turn on and turn up the youtube clip of Maria and you will feel the Truth as you sing along. What can I say, it’s another 80’s inspired blog – after hearing it a few weeks ago it’s been on my mind. And WOW what a voice!!
You have a *Sacred Contract to fulfil in this lifetime. You have people to meet, places to go, things to do. And sometimes it’s going to be tough – these are our tests, our chances to expand and realise that something larger is at play and that we are essentially Divine and Infinite Beings. It can be an unexpected opportunity, or a series of events, but it is something that GETS YOUR ATTENTION and can change the whole course of your life.
Maybe you can look back and see turning points in your life when you’ve felt a bit outcast or isolated – no longer fitting in to the “norm”? Or maybe some kind of “disaster” (dis-aster means ‘from the stars’) has happened. At the time you think it’s the end of the world and then you start to realise it was the best thing that could have happened to you (eg I lost the job I hated and now I do something I LOVE! :))
The thing is that we have to keep choosing (free will!!) as we are tested on this Hero’s journey.
Which path will you choose to follow?
Will you choose faith instead of fear?
Will you surrender to what is happening and choose to trust in Life?
Will you choose to use your earthly powers for your smallest self or for all of humanity?
Will you choose to face and manage your Shadows or pretend they aren’t there or maybe only see them in the people around you?
Will you act from insecurity and defensive or choose to remember you are an Infinite Being that already has everything you need, ready to emerge if you would look inside and let your Heart guide you?
